Contact Person

Pr Andrea Knierim,

Heads the subdivision of Communication and Advisory services in Rural Areas at the University of Hohenheim (UHOH). Her research focus is on knowledge systems, innovation and change processes in agriculture and rural areas. She has a thorough experience in inter- and transdisciplinary research and coordinated both, national and international projects; e.g. Innovation network for climate change adaption in Brandenburg and Berlin (INKA BB: www.inkabb.eu); Prospects for Farmers’ Support: Advisory Services in European AKIS (PRO AKIS: www.proakis.eu). More recently, she coordinated work packages in horizon2020 multi-actor projects such as Agricultural Space for Innovations (AgiSPIN project (www.agrispin.eu), smart-AKIS (www.smart-akis.com) and i2connect (www.i2connect-h2020.eu). She leads the Hohenheim Team in SERVInnov which is in charge of WP1 as well as closely supporting and accompanying other WPs of the project’s course.

Sarah Crestin-Billet, Rural Sociologist, University of Hohenheim

Sarah studied Management and Development at IECD 3A in Lyon, France and hold a M.A. in Local Development (Pantheon-La Sorbonne) and a M.Sc. in Agricultural Science in the Tropics and Subtropics (University of Hohenheim). She gained some field experience about local innovative systems thanks to her positions as a strategic or Research consultant within Development NGOs (ID China, SOL) and Research Institutes (UMR Astre at Cirad, SATNET Asia, PARI Project, BiomassWeb Project), as well as thanks to a 2-year Project Officer position at the French Development Agency in China.

Sarah joined the SERVinnov project in March 2019. She participated in the mid-term workshop in Cameroon and contributed to the D1.2 and D1.3 Deliverables, focusing mainly on the topic of inclusive innovation.
